Rake A Difference Day
Rake a Difference Day 2013 is Saturday, October 26!

Rake a Difference Day is a community volunteer event that takes place in conjunction with national Make a Difference Day each year. This event connects groups of volunteers with seniors and adults with disabilities in Washington County who need assistance raking their yards. Although Rake a Difference Day officially takes place on October 26th, we allow groups to rake anytime the week prior or the week after. Last year we engaged over 700 volunteers in raking the yards of 85 seniors. 2013 will mark the 15th year of Rake a Difference Day in the St. Croix Valley.

"My group takes part in Rake a Difference Day every year. Everyone always enjoys the day, helping and feeling good about what we've accomplished in such a short time. The overall experience is great for kids and requires minimal organizing on my part. Thanks for such a great volunteer experience!" -Volunteer group leader
"A wonderful family came and raked leaves for me. They were a delight to have, and such a help to me this year! I don't know what I would have done without these goodhearted volunteers. Thank you from the bottom of my heart." -Rake a Difference Day recipient
