Event Volunteer-Woodbury Days
Woodbury Days, a community event taking place August 27th-29th in Woodbury, is recruiting volunteers to assist in a number of capacities, including helping with the bike ride, bingo, the business fair, the parade, trash pickup, staffing the volunteer booth, and several other areas. Shifts are usually around 3-4 hours, but volunteers can sign up for several if desired.

Event Volunteer-Muddy Buddy Ride and Run
Taking place on August 22nd, the Muddy Buddy Ride and Run is a 6-mile, 2-person team running and mountain bike race. It is completed in a leapfrog style with both partners alternating running and riding a bike, switching after each of the 4 obstacles on the course. Volunteers are needed to help with the obstacles, registration, refreshments, and more! Volunteers will receive water, snacks, and a free t-shirt. Also, if you put a group together to represent Community Thread, $25 per volunteer will be donated to our organization!

Neighborhood Service Exchange Office Support-Community Thread
Community Thread seeks a volunteer to work with the Neighborhood Service Exchange, a volunteer time bank program for people of all ages and abilities who live in or work in Washington County. Core duties include data entry, making phone calls, helping with surveys and reports, and other tasks. Must have good communication and computer skills. Hours are flexible, one day a week during the daytime.

Child Activities Assistant-East Metro Women's Council
East Metro Women's Council is looking for volunteers to serve as child activities assistants. Help run programs for children while the parents take classes on budgeting, resume writing, and parenting classes. The schedule is flexible and evening and weekend hours are available. Volunteers 15 years of age or older are welcome!

Teddy Bear Clinic Volunteers-Lakeview Hospital
Lakeview Hospital is recruiting volunteers to help with their Teddy Bear Clinic, a program that helps kindergarten children learn about the hospital. Volunteers can help by giving tours of the hospital, "doctoring" their teddy bears, and helping them become comfortable with the hospital environment.
