Bequests

Leave a legacy for your community

by remembering Community Thread in your will

The simplest form of a legacy gift is the bequest - a gift left to a charity in your will. Bequests often enable donors to make a larger donation than is possible during their lifetime.

Simple bequest language usually reads: "I give and bequeath to Community Thread  (Federal Tax ID# 41-0967271), a charitable organization duly existing under the laws of Minnesota and located at 2300 W. Orleans Street, Stillwater MN 55082, *dollar amount or percentage of estate*."

Bequests may be directed to any Community Thread program. Bequest gifts without a specific designation are placed in the Building Fund to help preserve the building that houses our program activity rooms, staff offices and the Stillwater Senior Center.
