You may register to be a 2009 Holiday Bureau client if you meet the following criteria:

• You are facing financial hardship.

• You live in one You live in one of the following communities: Afton, Bayport, Baytown Township, Grant, Lake Elmo, Lakeland, Marine, Oak Park Heights, St. Mary's Point, St. Croix Beach, Stillwater, or Withrow.
• You must provide proof of residency such as a driver's license, State ID card, utility bill, paycheck stub, or bank account statement listing CURRENT address.
• In addition to our program, it is recommended that you also consider visiting Dawn's Closet (program of Valley Outreach located at 1911 Curve Crest Blvd.) if you are in need of winter clothing and household essentials. Local residents who meet the income guidelines may receive 20 items (per household member) seasonally from this program.
• All Holiday Bureau clients will be cross-referenced with other giving programs in MN to avoid duplication.

Applications will be accepted in-person only on the following dates:

Saturday, November 14th - 11am-2pm

Tuesday, November 17th - 5-8pm

Thursday, November 19th - 5-8pm

* A limited number of late registrants may be accepted after these dates, depending on availability of sponsors.  A waiting list will be created for those registering after Nov. 19th.

Sponsor matching begins after Thanksgiving.  If matched with a sponsor:

• Your sponsor will be given a copy of your (or your family's) wish list and contact information.
• The sponsor will contact you directly and will coordinate delivery of gifts.
• Sponsors will provide gifts with a total minimum value of $25 per person and a meal or gift cards with a value of $10 per family member.
• We ask you to donate 1 hour of community service to Community Thread or another area agency.
• You will be notified by Post Card when we are matched with a sponsor. You will be told on the post card if your items will be delivered - or will need to be picked up on December 17.
• Matching begins at Thanksgiving and CONTINUES through December 17.
• Sponsors are requested to deliver items no later than December 21^st.
