Bayport Senior Center sponsored six women veterans for the Bayport Memorial Day Parade. Retired Major Carol Kelm, age 90, greeted the crowds along the parade route. In another special event, Bayport Senior Center and Andersen Elementary School collaborated on a rousing depiction of some classic fairy tales in "Little Red Writing Hood."

Bayport Senior Community Center is a branch of Community Thread Senior Centers, a non-profit organization connecting people and enriching lives. The Bayport Senior Center was established in 2000 as a drop-in center at the Bayport American Legion to provide opportunities and promote independent lifestyles for senior citizens in the St. Croix Valley.
Programs are designed to meet the needs of a smaller community. 85 local seniors walk through our door monthly to participate in creative and entertaining programs. The Center offers a place for socialization, education, wellness, information and referrals, direct senior services, and volunteerism. The Hugh J. Andersen Foundation funds the program. A newsletter is also available.
Programs offered include exercise, speakers, card parties, cooking school, entertainment, dominoes, waffle breakfasts, bingo, intergenerational sessions and music.
Senior Services include foot care, hearing aid care, blood pressure screening, information and referrals for seniors in the area.
Congregate Dining is provided daily at 11:30 a.m. with nutritious meals delivered from Croixdale. Cost is $3.50 with one business day advance reservation.
The Bayport Senior Center is responsive to the needs of seniors and with their help facilitate programs that are useful and desired. It is our endeavor to remain a committed agency in the support of seniors.
