Nonprofit organizations or social service agencies can become members with the Volunteer Center in order to fully utilize our resources. Membership allows an organization to post volunteer opportunities on 1-800-Volunteer.org, take part in volunteer promotions to local media, participate in volunteer manager networking meetings...and much more!
To become a member with the Volunteer Center, an organization must meet three criteria: 1) involve local volunteers to carry out their organization's mission 2) offer services to residents in Washington, Pierce, Polk or St. Croix Counties 3) have a dedicated contact person for volunteers. We also charge a small annual fee - $25 - to help support the cost of our services.
Becoming a member is easy! It involves establishing your account on 1-800-Volunteer.org and completing forms and payment with the Volunteer Center. To complete the process please contact Lisa Thalacker Joyslin at lisa@communitythreadmn.org or 651-439-7434.
